TAP Air Portugal Cargo A330-200 CS-TOP 1:400 Scale Model
This 1:400 scale model of the TAP Air Portugal Cargo Airbus A330-200 is a replica of the actual aircraft with registration number CS-TOP. The aircraft made its maiden flight on May 29, 2008, and was delivered to the Portuguese airline TAP Air Portugal on June 18 of that same year. The aircraft was also named Pedro Nunes in honor of the famous Portuguese mathematician and navigator.
In 2021, amid a significant increase in demand for air cargo transportation, CS-TOP was converted for cargo transport. It was not a classic A330-200F freighter with a large side cargo ramp, but a converted passenger aircraft: the seats were removed from the cabin to use the interior space for cargo.
The aircraft received a special TAP Air Cargo livery with large “AIR CARGO” lettering along the fuselage. The passenger windows, TAP’s traditional red-and-green colors on the tail, and the unusual cargo design created a distinctive look for this aircraft.
