1:200 Scale Model of the Airbus A319CJ of the Slovak Republic, OM-BYA
The Airbus A319CJ with registration OM-BYA is a government aircraft of the Slovak Republic that joined the aviation unit of the Ministry of the Interior in June 2016. Its acquisition was part of an effort to modernize the state’s aircraft fleet and replace older aircraft, particularly the Tu-154.
The aircraft, with serial number 2550, was built in 2005. It made its maiden flight on September 15 under the test registration D-AVYH. Before entering Slovak service, the aircraft was used for corporate transportation. This history distinguishes it from standard passenger A319s operating on regular airline routes.
The 1:200 scale model of OM-BYA represents Slovakia’s government aviation. It will complement a collection of government aircraft, an Airbus Corporate Jets collection, or an exhibition of Central European aviation. Placed alongside passenger A319s, the miniature will showcase another use for this same aircraft type—transporting official delegations. A great gift for a pilot, aviation enthusiast, or collector interested in government aviation and the history of specific aircraft.
