I-1 aircraft model
The I-1 model recreates the first fighter aircraft created in the Soviet Union under the leadership of N. Polikarpov in the mid-1920s. It was a bold step towards monoplane designs, which were to replace biplanes in combat aviation. Despite its experimental nature and limited application, the I-1 became an important milestone in the development of Soviet aircraft construction.
The miniature retains the features of the prototype: metal-looking skin, a simple and streamlined fuselage, a single wing, and an open cockpit. The model is mounted on a stand, allowing it to be conveniently placed in a display case or on a desk.
This model will be appreciated by collectors, aviation historians, and fans of Polikarpov's early designs.
