Boeing 737 Republique du Niger Keychain
Our manager will contact you upon purchase and send you photos of keychains to choose from.
The keychain is made from the actual skin of a Boeing 737-200 with registration number 5U-BAG, an aircraft that served as the official presidential aircraft of the Republic of Niger for over three decades. Delivered in 1978, it carried presidents, diplomats, and state delegations around the world — from African airfields to European capitals, including flights to London.
A special feature of this aircraft was the gravel kit, a set of equipment for operating on dirt and desert runways. This allowed the aircraft to operate in the Sahara, where standard infrastructure was unavailable, making it a true instrument of state mobility.
After 36 years of active service, the aircraft was decommissioned in 2014 and preserved at Lasham Airfield in the UK. Almost ten years later, in 2023, part of its iconic green and white fuselage was salvaged and prepared for upcycling.
Note: Each tag is unique. They differ in feel, material thickness, and color. Small irregularities reflect many years spent in the air. Minor scratches, paint chips, and irregularities are completely normal and give Aviationtag a special charm—the charm of a vintage product. These features are not the result of the manufacturing process, but reflect the condition of the materials used in the aircraft!
