The legendary “Queen of the Skies” — the Boeing 747 — returns again in the form of a collector’s edition from Fuselage Creations, this time in the iconic British Airways livery. Over the past half century, the “Jumbo” under the call sign Speedbird has become a true symbol of British aviation. From April 1970 to June 2020, British Airways operated 94 Boeing 747 aircraft of various modifications, among which the most notable was the 747-400 version — 57 aircraft entered the fleet from 1989 to 1999. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a sharp reduction in air traffic, the reign of the British Jumbo Jet ended earlier than planned.
The tag you are holding in your hands is made from a fragment of the fuselage of the Boeing 747-400 G-CIVL aircraft, which received its own name — Victor Lima. This aircraft was delivered to British Airways in 1997 and served on long-haul routes for over two decades. In 2009, G-CIVL received a special OneWorld alliance livery - an elegant and recognizable design that favorably distinguished it from aircraft with the traditional Union Jack.
Victor Lima made his last flight on April 14, 2020 - from London Heathrow Airport to Kemble (Cotswold Airport), where it was finally written off the following year. In 2025, British aviation enthusiast Chris Goodwin (CLZ Aviation) saved several elements of this famous Jumbo and, in collaboration with the Fuselage Creations team, turned them into collector tags. Thanks to this project, thousands of aviation fans around the world can keep a piece of British Airways history in their homes.
