British Aerospace BAe 146-100 keychain
The British Aerospace BAe 146-100, known as the “little jumbo,” became part of aviation history back in the 1990s. Initially, British Airways planned to use the aircraft, but it never entered service with the company. Registered as PK-DTA, the aircraft flew briefly for National Air Charter in Indonesia and was later transferred to the US, where it even received a VIP lounge.
The most interesting stage of its career began in 1997 when the aircraft was transferred to Formula One Management under the registration G-OFOM. For 22 years, the BAe 146 served in the F1 fleet, transporting staff and teams to races across Europe. This aircraft was the last of the “146” to remain in service with Formula One Management until 2022. After the Monza Grand Prix, it was sent to storage in Cranfield.
Today, Fuselage Creations has preserved a piece of this unique aviation history for collectors. The BAe 146-100 G-OFOM model is not just a souvenir, but a tangible reminder of an aircraft that combined aviation, sport, and elite travel. It will be a real treasure for collectors and fans of both aviation and Formula 1.
