Four thousand years ago, a meteorite shower occurred in a region of Argentina located between the Chaco and Santiago del Estero provinces. The place where the shower occurred is known as Campo del Cielo, and the debris that fell is evidence of the birth of our solar system. The asteroid made of pure iron weighed approximately 800 tons and came from the Main Asteroid Belt located between Mars and Jupiter. It broke up into many meteorites that scattered over an area of ​​approximately 320 square kilometers.
