Security Service of Ukraine. Let's protect Ukraine together! In souvenir packaging 5 UAH
This commemorative coin is dedicated to the activities of the Security Service of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the SBU) and its unique special operation “Pavutina”, which is an important component of our state's national security system. The operation lasted about a year and a half and ended on June 1, 2025, with a massive attack by 117 FPV drones on four enemy military airfields. As a result of the strike, 41 Russian strategic aircraft were destroyed. This result demonstrated Ukraine's ability to carry out high-tech operations at a great distance, confirming the endurance, professionalism, and intellectual power of Ukrainian defenders. The commemorative coin honors the heroism, ingenuity, and technological mastery of the SBU servicemen, who, in the face of Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine, demonstrate an unmatched ability to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state.
The obverse of the coin features a stylized image of the Trojan horse in the center of the composition, behind which the silhouette of a truck transporting FPV drones to combat positions can be seen. This archetype, inspired by the ancient Greek legend of ingenuity, reflects the essence of Operation Spiderweb—the victory of intellect and creativity over brute force. The upper part of the coin features the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the inscription UKRAINE, the year of minting 2025, and the denomination 5 with the graphic symbol of the hryvnia. Below is the logo of the Banknote and Coin Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine. On the left is the emblem of the Security Service of Ukraine with the slogan “SECURITY SERVICE OF UKRAINE. WE PROTECT UKRAINE TOGETHER.”
The reverse side of the coin features a silhouette of a drone with a combat unit in the upper part. In the center is the inscription 117 FPV / DRONES, indicating the number of drones involved in the special operation. The central element is a mirrored silhouette of a strategic aircraft, which was one of the main targets of the strike at the moment of its destruction. Above it is a stylized web connecting the four destroyed airfields, illustrating the networked nature of the operation and its strategic coordination. An additional element is a tactical scale with numbers that belongs to the drone control systems and ensures the accuracy of their guidance by the operator.
