Aviation painting by Avtandil Gurgenidze
The work was presented at Zhulyany airport as part of an exhibition space dedicated to aviation. The technique is mixed, the artist experimented with textures, layers and visual effects, creating a voluminous and meditative surface.
Avtandil Gurgenidze is not only a painter, but also a well-known monumentalist and photographer, a graduate of the Tbilisi Academy of Arts (1979). He has held more than 50 solo exhibitions around the world. In 2015, he became the first artist in the world to hand-paint an AN-24 airplane, turning it into an aviation art object that adorned Kyiv. This painting carries a piece of this creative philosophy - freedom, sky, flight and infinity.
