On February 26, 2022, a Su-25M1 Blue 19 piloted by Lieutenant Colonel Zhybrov was lost during a combat mission. The aircraft, along with another attack aircraft (Su-25M1 Blue 30), attacked a pontoon bridge in the Kherson region that Russian troops were trying to build to transport equipment and personnel. Both aircraft were shot down during this mission.
