Igor Sikorsky 2 UAH coin
The obverse of the coin features the Ilya Muromets aircraft, for the design of which Sikorsky received worldwide recognition in 1913. At the top, on a relief background, there is a semicircular inscription - NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, under which there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine, on a mirror background - the year of minting of the coin 2009, denomination - 2 HRYVNIAS (at the bottom) and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
The reverse of the coin features a portrait of Sikorsky in a pilot's uniform, to the right of which, against the background of a drawing by Leonardo da Vinci, are the inscriptions: IGOR SIKORSKY (in a semicircle) and the years of his life: 1889-1972.
